Fees

Merritt Island Surgery Center charges a facility fee for each surgical procedure performed by your surgeon. The charges from Merritt Island Surgery Center will be an easy-to-understand, all-inclusive bill for our services and facilities. It does not include fees for your surgeon, consulting physician, anesthesiologist or pathologist.

If your insurance policy requires a co-payment, deductible and percentage of charge, you need to bring payment on the day of your surgical procedure.

In the event you are not covered under an insurance plan, you must make arrangements prior to the day of your procedure.

Medical Insurance

Merritt Island Surgery Center accepts most major commercial insurance, HMO/PPO plans, Medicare, Medicaid and Workers. Merritt Island Surgery Center requests any co-pay and/or deductible be paid prior to surgery. We will bill your insurance company as a courtesy; however, any balance due is your responsibility. Payment will be requested from you if reimbursement from your insurance company is not received with 60 days.

Please check with your insurance company for pre-admission requirements such as second opinions and pre-admission certification. This will facilitate the admitting process.

Uninsured and/or self pay patients will be required to pay for services before the admission date unless other arrangements have been made with the Center.

Merritt Island Surgery Center recognizes our obligation to remain flexible in financial matters. In the event that any of the above conditions cannot be met, the center will attempt to make other financial arrangements. Arrangements must be made prior to admission and must be approved by the administrator.

VISA, MasterCard, personal check, cashier's check and cash are accepted.
